Grading Procedures

Grades are to be submitted by teachers following final exams on Day 13 (last day) for 1st semester, and Day 26 (last day) for 2nd semester.   

 

Teachers are to use the following procedures regarding grades:

  • All teachers must post their grades using their Infinite Campus gradebook before the posting window closes

  • Questions about grading procedures should be directed to the registrar, at extension 1628

  • Questions about Infinite Campus (technical support) should be directed to PHS Technology Coordinator at extension 1760

Courses NOT Giving Grades

  1. There are select courses which will NOT be giving grades for final exams.  Please review the NO Grades Course Sheet for those assigned courses.

 

Failures

  1. Teachers are to submit a Failure Report to the Summer School office of all Failures

  2. Incoming Freshmen Students are NOT to receive failures, but an Audit Status for unsatisfactory level work.

  3. Parent contact is mandatory for all failing students

  4. A student’s semester grade will be considered “Failure By Default” if truant or absent on exam date, which is a mandatory attendance date.

 

Semester End Grade  Report

  1. Teachers are to complete the District Grade Report Sheet at the end of their course’s semester.

  2. Two copies of the coversheet are to be submitted to the summer school office during semester check-out.
