Final exams are given on Day 13 (last day) for 1st semester, and Day 26 (last day) for 2nd semester classes.   Teachers will review the policies for final exams with their classes two days before the assigned date.  The final exam policy includes the following: 

 

Attendance

1. Attendance is MANDATORY on final exam dates.  Students who are not in attendance will forfeit credit and fees, and may fail by default, *or will audit if an academy class. 

2. Final examinations will not be given early neither will students be allowed early release from school.

3. All books must be returned before taking the final exam.  *If book is unreturned, complete “Request to Recover” form and return it to the summer school office during check-out.

 

Incompletes

1. There are no incompletes for summer school.  All grades must be complete and submitted by the teacher the last day of each semester.

 

Audit Status

1. A student may petition to audit (no credit) a course prior to final exam day. 

2. The teacher must submit a completed Audit form to the Summer School Office. 

3. Auditing students MAY be given the final examination. 

4. The teacher will submit an AUD in the semester grade column.

 

Pass/Fail Policy - (Available to R902 Study Skills Classes Only)

1. A student may take Study Skills for a Pass/Fail grade. 

2. The request must be in writing and returned to the teacher (Pass/Fail Agreement Form). 

3. Study Skills teachers are expected to inform students as to consequences of their decision.
