Grading

 

 

  • This document will serve as a quick guide for all grading steps needed to finalize your semester grade (including making sure your gradebook is set up properly, and steps for finalizing Q2, Final Exam, Semester Final Grade and comments).

 

  • This information will serve as a cheat sheet for you as you finalize your grades for students with special circumstances or grading situations that are slightly different from normal.  Some of these special circumstances include homebound students, students who have failed by default, and students with incompletes.

 

  • Codes that should be used for Quarter/Semester Comments:

 

AAGRD2: Interested/enthusiastic/pleasure to have in class

AAGRD3: Student appears to be working conscientiously and/or shows improvement

AAGRD4: Needs to improve class attitude/preparation/participation

AAGRD5: Low test scores and/or very poor written work and/or lab work

AAGRD6: Low level of achievement in basic skills

AAGRD7: Conduct is disruptive to class atmosphere - must improve

AAGRD8: Student is not working up to expectations and/or performance is not consistent

AAGRD9: Class absences/failure to complete overdue
